I am not single

There are sufficient happy hours, discoteques, casinos or DJ bars and night clubs to wear you down.

Many beaches also have various activities that allow you to meet others.

Some tours may allow you to meet other single tourists with the same taste.

Take a diving course or go on a boat dive if qualified. Many people aboard.....Dive shops are usually aware of single divers looking for dive buddies.

What hotel?

When you arrive get a copy of Kpasa and a copy og Go weekly. They are available for free at most bars, restaurants and hotels. They list activities for the coming week.

You will have much choice.

Also ask the hotel reception. They will recommend places.

You should not be bored

Breeze should be a good place for singles.

1 - there will be about 300 of you on the flight from Toronto - Sunquest I assume. Be alert - early morning line ups at the counter - customs and at the gate may b e a good opportunity to make acquaintances. 3/4 of passengers on that flight are probably going to Breeze.

Breeze has many activities where one can mingle.

It is close to Mambo Beach and Wet and Wild. Seems to be an active place.

A $10 taxi ride into town. Shuttle is probably available.

The hostesses from Sunquest will be helpful.

Also at the arrival briefing ask a single scene question - bound to be someone else in audience who is in same situation.

Finally monitor this forum as you did with Hiking - others may appear.

Jeff, I'm at Breezes April 1-7 with a friend. We're both single--a little older than you, though. Like you, we don't party every night anymore, but I certainly plan to check out the nightlife. And especially have a blast keeping busy during the day. In fact, you were looking into joining us if we hike Christoffel. I've never been to Curacao, or any other Breezes, but I have been to other AIs in other locations. Should be easy to find lots of friends for lots of activities! Look forward to meeting you.

Hey That sounds like great fun to me , and ya I might be up for that hike for sure . I'm Jeff , I will be there a week before you arrive , give me some time to figure out how things are in Curacao.

I'll look for you (Even Though I have no Idea what you look like, lol ) in the beginning of April.

The count down is on , see ya there Jeff.

P.S if you have learned any tips , I would be interested. Thanx

While I don't pretend to be an expert, I've vacationed solo several times, and always had friends the first day. In fact, you're likely to meet people who'll be at the resort before boarding the flight to Curacao and definitely while waiting for the shuttle.

Show up for activities that sound like fun. Some of them will be silly, but, after all, you're on vacation! Since you're planning to do a lot of diving, you'll probably become quite friendly with the divers. Generally, divers can be a group of their own because their schedule is usually a little bit different with early outings and then being tired after diving all day.

Have your meals at the largest table you can find--it should fill up with couples and singles. Stop by Happy Hour and start talking. If you're open and friendly, you'll know a couple of dozen people in a day or two.

I am still in contact with quite a few people I have met while vacationing. As a matter of fact, I have gone on subsequent vacations with several of them, and chat on a weekely basis with three of them! And that's after meeting ten years ago.

You already have the right attitude. My philosophy is, expect to have a good time, and you probably will.
