Easter Monday in Willemstad

We will be arriving on a cruise Easter Monday, April 1 in Willemstaad. I have read on the Curacao tourist page that all stores will be closed. Will anything be open? I am looking forward to shopping in some of the markets along the waterfront - does anyone know if they will be closed as well? We have booked a tour with Irie Tours but will have the rest of the day free to walk around the city. The ship arrives around 2 p.m. and departs at midnight. Any suggestions?

When a cruise ship is in some shops will be open for a limited time. But most shops will be closed.

If you are referring to the floating market if the boats are there they will sell their stuff. But it is also a big Holiday in Venezuela where the boats come from so I have no idea how many will be in town during that weekend.

Thanks hubbb. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
