Arrived back from Breezes on 2nd October. Had a great holiday. Had a Beach villa, room 1065 with a sea view. It was basic but was clean, all you need since you dont go there to spend that much time in your room. Food was really good, only once saw a fly in the food, stopped at a restaurant on the way to airport in Glasgow for something to eat and guess what there were two flies bzzing around us! Any other questions you have please ask.

Hi vowslett

Evening entertainment was a show from 2130 to 2230. They were ok and a different one every night for the two weeks. The lobby bar closed at 2am but the beach bar open 24 hours and served drink until the last person left. We were there a few nights until 4am. They do stop serving alcohol if there is no one in and you cant get another drink until 10am but lets face it who can drink for 24 hours!!!!!!

Sorry should have told you they had a beach party on a thursday night. Sometimes a live band played in the lobby bar, but there was always back ground music. Not sure what time the disco closed, never actually went in as they always seemed to play salsa music, but i think it was 2am. Casino open to 4am but you have to pay for drinks in there. Dont play the super keno if you do go, someone lost £5000 on thier credit card when we were there!!!!!

scottishsunlover,

thanks for that, i have informed my husband so he's happy knowing the beach bar stays open 24 hours, even though he usually gives up after drinking for a few hours, entertainment sounds good, i do have a few more questions if you don't mind, can you wear causal clothes in the a la carte restaurants?(jeans, trainers, track suits,t-shirts, shorts) only because the afternoon we arrive i am planning a surprise birthday meal for my husband, so i am thinking of emailing the hotel in advance, also what are the best rooms in the hotel?

islandlorna,

thank you for putting my mind at ease, i have decided i will be staying at Breezes, as i like the idea of the free shuttle service to Sousa and Cabarete, as well as other excursions, which will give us things to do, as 2 weeks sitting by the pool and beach can get a bit too much for us!!

Hi yowslatt

Hubby wore jeans with either shirt or t-shirt in ala cartes. I didnt have jeans with me but i did wear flat dressy kind of flip flops, never saw anyone wearing a track suit. They are not as strict as i was lead to believe on the internet.

We had a beach villa room 1065, basic but clean, was lucky enough to be allocated this on arrival as alot of people changed from the blocks to these villas.

Our room had two single beds pushed together, bathroom, separate area with sink and a walk in wardrobe.

email fatima.gonzalez@superclubs.com and request an ocean view, she will do her best for you.

You cant play pool on the tables by swim up bar as they are full of plant pots.

It was my birthday whilst we were out there, hubby was going to take me to the waterfront restaurant which would have cost in excess of $200 but as the food was good in the hotel i persuaded him to take me up in a helicopter instead. He arranged for 5 other couples we met on hols and us to have a meal in Italian restaurant and they even supplied a cake free of charge.

scottishsunlover,

i hear the japanese is the best a la carte at the hotel is that true? also are the villas seperate from the other hotel rooms?(a bit confused on this one) i emailed the hotel a few weeks ago who have said they can arrange for us to eat in the a al carte and also a birthday cake, i also requested a room in block 11 as i was led to belive these are the recently renovated rooms, do you know if that is true?
