Playa dorada golf course

I phoned the golf course to make some tee times and they said you come and you play no need for a reservation. Is this true? Is their a different number then the one on the website? Any info would be great!

We just got back last night and my fiance played every day. Just show up. Tell Chito the owner that Alyse and Trust say hi and we will see him again soon. Bring money for the caddies. It is mandatory and they will want tips. They also appreciate when you bring them apples, bananas, water and Sprite. The caddie fee is $20 for 18 holes or $15 for 9. If you get a cart then it is 1 caddie per cart, but if you walk then it is 1 caddie per person. We usually tip $5 per person per 9 holes, but some caddies will tell you that they get bigger tips. We play every day and try to use the same caddie all week so they end up making a lot. The course is beautiful so you will want to take pictures.

My husband played the course earlier this year and has played the course many times over the last 15 years.

The caddie fee, payable upfront was $15, and this goes into a caddie fund for all the caddies there and is mandatory. You can tip the caddie whatever you wish but it was generally $20-25 per round. As mentioned previously, a caddie is mandatory even as a walker.

There has probably been some changes in fees recently as previously the PD resorts did not have any discounts for guests but the new VH Atmosphere, which opened yesterday, located on the golf course is offering golf discounts for its guests.

Some resorts used to offer a discount and the golf course used to offer a discount if you pay for 5 rounds in advance, but not sure if they do that anymore.

The VH Atmosphere overlooks the 18th green and they do have golf packages. The Jack Tar also has golf packages, but is not all-inclusive.

The golf course hosted a PGA event earlier this year and underwent some renovations to their clubhouse. It looks great! When we were there this week we noticed the prices went up for the carts and caddie fees since we were there in April.

Yes, you could buy a package of five or ten rounds for a discounted price and expect that is still the same. The course did used to be privately owned and in latter years owned by the town of PP. Maybe now with the VH Atmosphere opening and golf packages being available through that resort, the golf club could also be offering discounts to other resorts as well. It is a Robert Trent Jones course and it will be good to see it more busy.
