LHVC Units: Which Type?

So we're planning on booking a week with LHVC through RCI and I have 3 options.

There will be 2 adult couples who want to be a part of the action but will enjoy a little privacy for a little "alone time" as well.

Should I go for the Crown Residence Suites, the Crown Villas, or teh Penthouse Suites? What's the difference between the 3?

well the penthouses and crown residence suites and very close to each other awayse from the beach and activities , the crown villas are scattered on small hillsides in like a neiborhood setting each has a private pool and yard normally there is 2 bedrooms down stairs and a master bedroom on the top floor so the villas give the two couples more space and privacy from each other , It all depends on when you want to go and how much you want to spend the all-inclusive fees are a little higher in the villas and depending on when you want to go if one is available

Hi KuntryRob,

The Crown Residence Suites is the name for all of the apartments. They come in 1 BR, 2 BR, or 2 BR Penthouse suites. The difference between a 2 BR apartment and a 2 BR penthouse apartment is that the penthouse has 2 baths, whereas the 2 BR apartment just has 1 bath.

For 2 adult couples, I'd highly recommend the penthouse so each couple gets their own bathroom. The villas would be most private of all, but might actually be more room than you need for 2 couples.

Thanks for the info! The plan is to book for Oct. 31 - Nov 7 and we're actually considering getting a 3rd couple to do the 3 bedroom villa. Anyone know of any can't miss activities going on that week?

Also, take the cable car ride up to the top of Mt. Isabel de Torres and ride it back down. Beautiful and breathtaking, plus you'll get a great view of Puerto Plata city and the ocean (on one side of the mountain) and Puerto Plata country (farmland) on the other side of the mountain. But go in the morning, as the clouds tend to roll in in the afternoon and cuts off your view.

OceanWorld is also a nice place to spend part of a day.

Hi

Hope you havent booked through RCI yet as it is much cheaper to book through an owner instead. You might have to pay more for the appartment but your All inclusive fee is about US$ 30 pp per day instead of 80 us$ pp per day with RCI. Besides the savings on AI fee you will get access to the VIP ammmenties at no extra cost and airport transfer is included. If you go for the villas you get your own private villa with someone coming to prepare breakfast for you every morning and you have your own privat pool and a golf cart. The 2 bdr. suites are nice...but no breakfast making and no golf cart.

The penthouse is more luxuirios. The AI fee is higher in a villa. You get free access to Ocean World if you rent a villa. If you calculate the total price you will see that renting through an owner will save you money compared to RCI. There are several owners in this forum and they are all willing to rent to you. we used this one and was very satisfied. www.cascadesvipvacations.co.uk

We had a 2 bdr. suite and was satisfied with it but should we rent an appartment again we would go for the Penthouse.

Feel free to drop me a mail if you have questions.

Hola Kuntry Rob

we booked with fivestarholidays.com and was completely satisfied with the service, they're a fairly new company but very reasonably priced. Booking through an owner is the best option as i've heard you dont get treated as well as a RCI guest.

Definitely go with the villas...you wont be disappointed.
