Hotels--ASAP--3 Hotels to choose?

I need to make a decision ASAP between these 3 hotels:

Gran Ventana Beach Resort

Iberostar Costa Dorado

Marien Coral by Hilton

Which would you choose for 2 single men in their 30's who are looking for R&R with some nightlife/bar activities when the sun goes down.

Thank You So Much for your Help

Gratefully,

John

Hi John

Can only share my experience of the Coral Marien with you. The hotel is wonderful with plenty to do, but you may find the night life is not enough for you. I was there beginning of November with my partner, and after the evening show which finishes at 11ish, there is only the sports bar for entertainment. They do offer to taxi you to the Casino at Playa Dorado, but we didn't go to that.

Good luck, and enjoy your holiday.

We were at the Iberostar Costa Dorada last February. Can't say enough nice things about the place, everything was great. But I can't comment on the nightlife although I do know there is a disco. There are shows that go on from about 9:30 till 11 which were varied, some very good some not so good but that's as late as we were up. The hotel, grounds, food, bars, staff were wonderful. You can do some day treips. Contact Martin Espinal. Go to the website Debbiesdominican reviews. You'll be able to find out a lot more info on the 3 hotels you mentioned and you will be able to find Martin's website. Enjoy

We went to the Gran Ventana last March. Loved the hotel and would certainly return. Having said that, the night life was fairly limited. We had our daughter and three of her 18 or 19 yr old friends with us. They went to the disco at the Paradise and to Hemmingway's at the Playa Dorada Shopping area. I know they are quite a bit younger than you, but they found the night life limited. This Feb. we are going to try the Iberostar Costa Dorada larlely based on this website and Debbie's Dominican. Last November we staye3 d in Playa Del Carmen in Mexico. No shortage of night life there!

A friend of mine said the Iberostar is a very good choice. She liked it there very much.

My family has just returned from the Iberostar for the second time. Considering the reviews and comments from people who have been to these hotels, the Iberostar is the best.

There are shows in the evenings, and then the disco opens at 11 pm. The crowd is a little younger at the disco, but there are also tours that you can take to different bars in the area.

I just returned from the Gran Ventana and I thought that the service at the hotel was horrible. At every meal we had to wait 20 minutes just to get a drink of water. Also, the rooms were quite old. The maids never completely cleaned the rooms and often forgot to replace towels in the bathrooms.

Having said that, I have stayed at three different Iberostar hotels (in the Mayan Riviera, Punta Cana and La Romana). All were consistently great in terms of service and facilities. I would definitely recommend this hotel chain.

We were at Gran Ventana. Beautiful resort. I think the nightlife in all areas is limited. You have to make your own. Its not like city life, but resort style. Playa Dorada has discos etc, and most resorts have their own. I think you'll have agreat time no matter which one you choose. The young people seem to always be able to find a good time. Have Fun

Iberostar hands down. Just returned from our second straight New Years at the I/B and can't say enough about this place or the staff.

Let me know if you need any info.
