Riu Bachata

Hi

Going to the Bachata in 2 weeks and looking for some info. Can anyone tell me if the snacks are 24 hours and what snacks are included? What treatments can you have at the spa and how much do they cost? How far is Cofresi and is it worth a visit? Does the cable car run this time of year? What time does the casino shut and are drinks included whilst you're in there.

Thanks.

We stayed at the Bachata a few years back. and also the Merengue just next door.

Snacks at the Bachata were at the Bar area right next to the Casino, but very late at night were only sandwiches and you did have to ask. the barstaff. Same went for late late night drinks....sometimes the bar was not manned, but if you asked at the reception someone would come and serve you.

The Merengue (just a short stroll away) has a late night snack bar cooking burgers, hot dogs and fries maybe pizza....ate there around 01.30 can't say how much later the food was served.

Drinks in the Casino you have to pay for, but you would be mad to do so as the Bachata Bar is only a few steps from the entrance so you can just come out to that to collect your drinks.

Premium liquor like JD was only available in the Casino.`

Don't know if things have changed since our last visit.

Sorry can't help you on your other questions.

Going to Merengue in June, could you use your mobile phone from these hotels? With O2 but would hope to keep in touch with home using mobiles? Can you help?

There is a website dedicated to all questions regarding the Riu hotels....why not check it out?

www.riubambu.com otherwise known as "Rusty's." You will be able to find out everything from posters on there.
