LaRomana Airport Need Transport to Gran Bahia Principe Hotel

Hi, Just booked a trip to fly into LRM and staying at GBP and curious about ground transportation between the airport/hotel for 2 people total. What is the cost by taxi or shuttle? Which is more affordable? Do we need to book anything in advance? Do they accept USD or do we have to exchange money? Also, are they reliable to come back for pick up at the hotel to return to the airport a few days later? Thanks!

Taxis are abundant outside of customs and the rates are posted. Always agree on the rate before departing. Taxis are also available at the resort. Prices are quoted in US Dollars. Very easy.

Thanks for the quick reply. Do you have any idea what the posted rates are? Are taxis recommended over the shuttles?

There is no shuttle service in Dominican republic between airports and resorts.

The taxi is probably around 40 - 50 USD one way for up to 5 people during the day time. This is only my guess, I have rates from the airport to Bayahibe / Dominicus area - east of the airport, GBP is to the west.

Happy travel

Denise
