Best dives that I know of are in the Bayahibe/Catalina Island area. It's a drive from Punta Cana.

Punta Cana isn't on the Caribbean coast. That's about 40 miles from Punta Cana airport. You'd best google scuba bayahibe or somesuch.

Saona area has a couple of decent dives - been many years so I don't remember the location names. Good wall dive backside of Catalina island. Both on opposite side of island from PC. Dive shops can/will make arrangements from your resort.

Love those night dives - never know what's lurking around the corner. Steady breathing ---good bubbles and great diving! Enjoy

We are doing three dives on island day tour to Soana and deep wreck and night dive to complete Advanced Open Water. We will also be doing some spear fishing for lion fish. The girls will get to snorkel and hang on the boat and beaches. Good fun for all. Thx for all your insite.

I dive with John from http://scubafun.info/ or if you want private diving http://www.divingdr.com/en_US/ They are located in the village of Bayahibe.

The St. George wreck is a good dive but it is very deep, Atlantic Princess wreck is a good shallow dive, the Coca wreck is just a pile of scrap on the bottom. El Parqueo reef has canons, canon balls and muskets still on the racks from an old Spanish wreck. The 1/2 day trip to El Penon reef is worth the extra cost.

Hi. We are arriving in Punta Cana in November. How are the dives clarity after the Hurricanes.? Is it worth booking some dives? We have gone diving at another island that had a hurricane come through a few months before we arrived and the visibility was not good.

Thank you
