Rooms in the building that is closest in proximity to both the beach and buffet.

Nicole,

I do beleive Hlywud also was trying to get across the point that he feels it is best to try to obtain a room that is approx 1/2 way between both - regardless of which resort it may be - being centralized like that is the ideal IMO.

For example, at the Gran Bahia, the Club Diamond rooms are located in the centre of the resort - 1/2 way between the beach and the lobby buffets. Sure makes it handy to get to any point from there.

I was told that sometimes in these forums previous guests are able to tell you if one section was particularly close to certain things; or if a certain section is very noisy.

"Sometimes" being the key word.

Most resorts don't have their guests for the following week in their system until a few days prior to your arrival.

If you are dead set on a room or area, best off to pay for it. Because depending on when you travel ( busy season approaching) you will not be able to upgrade or change.
