just wanted to know if anyone could advise if the trolley runs thru the ambar the same way it does thru the punta cana and bavaro side?

Just got back from the Ambar. The trolley does not run through the Ambar. There is really no need for it as the Ambar is very compact and well laid out. I really doubt that there is even a five minute walk from one end to the other. Hope this helps.

my reason for asking was because when we stayed on the punta cana side the lobby was a great place to hang in the evening, or the pueblo, just don't know how they laid the ambar side out in relation to where the others are.

To go to the Ambar lobby from any room in the Ambar section is less than a 5 minute walk. If you want to go to the Punta Cana lobby you can pick up the tram at the front of the Ambar lobby or you can walk there which we did several times. It is about a 10-15 minute walk and after dinner can be a very nice stroll.

Is it really windy there right now. Do I need to be wearing a jacket on the beach??

lv2travelnearnorth,

The trolley from the Ambar to the main lobby runs about every 15 mins. You can also walk over to the road that runs between the Ambar and the Bavaro section and catch the trolley up to the main lobby, this route has more trolleys more frequently.

poolsidebabe,

The nice thing about the wind at the beach is that you will not over heat! Try walking inland a little bit around noon time and you will see how hot it is without the wind coming off the ocean. If you brought a jacket to the beach you would be roasting.

There is a trolly stop at the south beach buffet and also right behind building 61 ...this will take you the Bavaro lobby...and as mentioned there is the Ambar trolly the goes between the Ambar lobby and Bavaro lobby ...then its an easy walk to Pueblo Principe
