A welcome time of year for us is when the southeasterly winds shift northward to the northeast, bringing with it....lower humidity and a nice onshore breeze. Temps settle in around 27c and the nights are great for sleeping again!
That being said, the ocean does bump up a notch....especially in the areas to the northwest of the reef area...so...please...if in one of those areas ( and you will be able to tell) respect what a wave can do to you. Last week I had the pleasure to meet a woman in a wheelchair who had a wave twist her leg around!
I am actually wearing long pants today...and feeling very comfortable!
