Snorkeling w/ Dressel Divers at Catalina Island

Has anyone been to Catalina for snorkeling lately? I'd like to snorkel while my husband dives. I'm having trouble choosing between Catalina, Catalinita, and Saona. Please advise.

Try posting on the Bayahibe forum - that forum covers those islands and has a few experts that will tell you all about each island's snorkeling.

We did in June. It was just o.k. Water not as clear and sun not out, so it could have been better. At that time, we were having lots of bad weather. We still had fun, though. You will absolutely LOVE Punta Cana!!! Where are you staying??

As much as the island that you choose, I think it depends on the beach stops and how they run it. I don't know how Dressel does them. Though there's the potential for some larger fish at Catalina, as a snorkeler the reef there is lost on me since the water is too deep. It's good for diving though. As a diving and snorkeling combo, I'd personally suggest Catalinita Island, but again, I don't know how Dressel does the day. I can't imagine a visit there being bad though!
