Whats around Bavaro Princess? Stores?

We will be at the Bavaro Princess in a couple weeks.

What is near / around it to see and do?

What to avoid?

Is the Casino a public Casino or just for our resort?

There is a little shopping plaza just outside of the gate of Bavaro Princess....the sellers will see you coming and meet you at the gate....I didn't find the shops over priced but I did barter price with the vendors....there are some small bars to the left as you leave the resort.....The casino is outside of the gates of the resort, we did not go so I cannot comment on if it is open to the public.....Nice resort, I found it a bit on the big side but we had gone to smaller resorts in the past....enjoy your vacation!

The casino is public. Play in dollars win dollars, play in pesos win pesos. At the gates of the hotel is the Plaza Bavaro area. Several shops, a few bars and two major discos are near. Mangu and Areito.

Steve's bar is the most infamous place in the area. It is a great afternoon drink hangout place. They do have free wifi just ask the girls for the code.

For really decent prices for items is in el Cortecito. Face the ocean, walk to the right for 20ish mins (only 2 resorts away but the Palladium is one of them and is very wide) Just past the Palladium complex turn up and walk through captain cook or another shop and you will get in the village. There is a grocery store for Vanilla , coffee, rum, Los Pinos Plaza for super prices on sarongs and those colourful paintings, and Cussie boutique for a little more upscale finds, more original, jewelry also. All three places have fixed prices and it is a wonderful experience to shop ike this. no hagling, no stress and the prices are what you would bargain other stores down to.

all three stores form a triangle.
