Palladium Bavaro electrical outlets

I'm staying at the Palladium Bavaro in April.

Anyone who has been there before know if an

adapter is needed for the outlets to convert

from european to U.S. style plugs ? I have a

camera battery charger I need to plug into

a standard U.S. style outlet.

Rummie......You will be fine. All the resorts in Mexico and Punta Cana are all the same like you have in the US. Cuba of course is different but PC is fine. Good luck on your trip.

Outlets in the Dominican are "universal" in that just about anything will plug into them. But there are two basic problems for North American users. First, if you have a polarized plug (one side is bigger than the other), expect problems. Second, the outlets are slightly recessed so that you may have problems plugging in all-in-one items such as battery chargers. May I suggest that you take an American to European adaptor (not converter) with you and avoid both problems. I have a picture of the adaptor which you can get by emailing me at larla@canoemail.com.
