Adults Only Resorts

Does anyone know how many "adult only" resorts there are in Punta Cana and which ones they may be? Any advise would be appreciated!

Thanks

We like to use this site: http://www.resortvacationstogo.com/ just for the "adults only" tab on the left. Not sure how often it's updated, but gives a good list none the less and then back to TA to check each resort out of course!

off the top of my head..

Excellence, Iberostar Grand, Punta Cana Princess, Catalonia Royal, Bahia Principe Ambar, NH Royal Beach

and there are sections within other chains

Royal Suites Turquesa by Palladium

Elegance club of the Majestic Elegance

and I am sure a host of others...but they don't come to mind right now

Punta Cana Princess is the one I have been looking at (pretty good prices). Would you mind posting a review when you get back? We aren't going until the end of August, but I always start researching very early.

Thanks!

PCP was an ok resort not great but ok. Its smaller, on a nice strech of beach, food OK, al la Cartes were hit and miss, If you had the VIP you were able to get the better international booze but it was watered down with the resort stuff. The wife noticed it in her margarita that was made with tequila from a cuervo bottle and I noticed it with the JD and the Rye's. The place reminded us of how resorts used to be back in the late 80's early 90's, Its a short walk to anything and had a small show at night. As compared to the spread out mega resorts of today. I'd give it about a 3 1/2 stars (others here on this forum that love the place would beg to differ). They also have a tram if you want to check out the bigger Tropical/Caribe Princess family resort next door or if you want to got to the casino.

The best thing about the place is what you mentioned and that was the price. when we went there last july it was cheaper to go there then it was to go to Cape Cod or to Myrtle beach, after you added up the airfare/gas, lodging, and food/.drinks

My vote would go to the Punta Cana Princess (I have a review with a link to lots of pics from my webshots album). It will depend on what you are looking for but in my opinion this resort is excellent bang for your buck. It is in my opinion located on the best stretch of beach and the service is exceptional (best we have had at any resort). Yes, the rooms are dated but they are spacious and very clean. If you are looking for a nice, new luxury resort this isn't it but if you are looking for a nice compact resort on a fantastic stretch of beach with beautiful grounds and great service then this may be the place for you. However, if you are looking for a place with lots of activities and entertainment it may not be a good fit. This resort is pretty quiet which is great for R&R but if you want more activities it's a 4 min walk to the resort next door where there are more activities, nightly shows and a disco.........
