Upgrade to platinum through your tour operator instead of at the resort, much better price. Yes it is worth it , in terms of bumping up your service, but after you pay the upgrade, compare the final price with another resort on your short list, BP might end up costing you more, and you will prob get less.

This resort is very large, and without Platinum, it becomes inconveniently large. If you are into smaller, quainter resorts, go for the Punta Cana Princess.

Both of these resorts won't really compare to the level of luxury of the Ambar, but then again they are older. The PCP has a tropical feel., BP platinum rooms are newer more modern.

way cheaper booking platinum before you get there .last year we paid 120 more each for the week .from reg bungalow rooms .free room serv ,beach beds,3 bottles of alc replaced as empty in room.nice club with free internet ,high end booze ,wine and cheese party and much more.and you can use all the princess resorts ,we loved that part.

love to hear 120 bucks for the weeks, comparing it to ambar, we were there last year but i found that entire resort way too big, our hotel was great but we could never get a palapa really close to the water and we were out of the room by 7am each day, yes there was reserved beach for ambar but it was too far away from the water for us
