Local Food Options

I'm planning a beach trip for late October, but just can't decide where to go. My boyfriend wants beaches with white sand, clear blue water, etc. And, we both want to go to a location where there are great local food vendors/options. We enjoy eating at local food stands, etc rather than at resort eateries. Our last beach vacation was to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and while the food was great and cheap from the local stands, the beaches were lackluster. Looking to go somewhere with both! :)

Thanks in advance for all the help!

Sounds like Playa del Carmen, they offer you a wide range of local restaurants and food stands, nice condo's to rent or a small boutique hotel.

And you find this on walking distance.

Don't know if you find this at PC

Not really anything like that in the PC area..

Beaches are fantastic but many of the hotels are isolated.

The only place where you'll get local restaurants is the Cortecito area.

Nearest hotels are the Palladium , Carabella, Barcelo Dominican Beach.

Or try Bayahibe. Near La Romana

Dreams La Romana is supposedly nice with the village within walking distance

Dreams La Romana is a 5 minute walk along the beach from Bayahibe village where you will find several small restaurants and bars surrounding the 2 bays.
