The Tower Casino is at the gates of the Bavaro Princess. While the resort is very large much of the inconvenience of the size comes in the room class booked. The Platinum upgrade gives you gorgeous modern rooms, access to a club house with News Papers, concierge, internet, drinks, and light snacks. These rooms are located near the beach end of the resort. Without the need to head to the lobby building twice a day for various things because of the Platinum Lounge this choice might be good for you.

The Punta Cana Princess is an ultra small and ultra laid back resort, for adults only. It has good food and a tram from the lobby heading to the tower casino just a quick ride away. It is an option also. There is also a tram heading to the Caribe/Tropical Princess next door for added amenities. The rooms are very large, clean and tropical. I would not say modern in decor, older yes, but not run down.

The Palladium also has an on site casino and is very manageable in size. It is large when considering the whole complex and the various sections, but either the Palace or the Punta Cana section would be a good central location. There is always the Royal Suites Turquesa, an exclusive section of this complex.

The Majestic resorts have a shared casino, the Majestic Colonial has been open a few years now but the Elegance is only a couple of years old and so all fresh and new, the resort is situated on a beautiful beach which is one of your requirements so should be just right for you. Although small the casino has everything you would usually find, we have had some great evenings here.

Hope it helps. - PGD x

At the moment, the Palladium is doing some refurbishing at their Casino, its been totally redone inside having 3 black jack tables 2 roulette tables and tons of slot machines. And I've been told, you should see the waitresses costumes! it was an OH MY! moment LOL!

The Palladium Palace or Punta Cana section are uniquely centralized where you are just a few steps to the beach, restaurants, lobby, theater and casino from your rooms. Some of the rooms in the PC section building 4000 block were updated not too long ago, other rooms are becoming dated and will receive a new look in the near future. They have started in the Bavaro section and are working their way down to the other sections. As one poster wrote, the RST which is also extremely close to the casino has very new suites, some of which are swim-ups, all decorated in a contemporary theme. They are very beautiful. More info on this complex can be found on the palladiumaddict.net site.

We have also stayed at the Melia Caribe and they have a casino on sight as well. Depending on where your room would be, there would be quite some walking to get around to the restaurants, lobby and casino or just wait for the little train to pick you up and take you to your destination. I can't comment on the room conditions, as it has been a few years since I stayed there and they may have done some refurbishing.

Good luck and happy travels.

Hard Rock definitely is the cream of the crop regarding casinos. Rooms are very nice, each with a view of some type of water feature. It's a large property but you can take the trams virtually anywhere, especially the beach and pools.
