The seagrass was bad all over the Carribean this year with PC being not as bad as other parts of the Carribean. It is suppose to be clearing up but it has nothing to do with a specific resort.

Yes there was seaweed and no, it is not very bad. The only comment I've made is that it made it hard to go running on the beach in the early morning before they had raked.

When I was there October 2009 there was alot of seaweed but the employees worked very hard to clean it up everyday. It didn't bother me. The resort is AWSOME, I loved it. Great place.

We stayed there a couple of years ago and the seaweed was not bad. Pretty calm water in that area so you can see the fish swimming around you if you stand still in the water. There aren't loads of them but they are still fun to watch. You could probably attact more with some bread or something. They have a pretty inexpensive snorkeling excursion that you can arrange at the beach activites hut. We didn't go but I've heard good things about it.

Had an escorted tour of DPB in 2009-

very 'open look'-can easily see beach from pool--which i liked

rooms looked nice--i was shown 2

very compact resort, easy to walk anywhere

wasn't overly imprseed by the look of the main buffet--looked sorta 'average'

big negative to me-a deal breaker in my view--was the non-descript look and feel of the lobby and lobby bar re evening drinks etc---the lobby looked to be at best 'functional' and the lobby bar was off to the side and very very tiny at that time

I crossed it off my maybe list just for that reason

seeweed didn't look to be too much of an issue to my eyes at noon

forgot to mention --entrance to resort from the street is down a small walkway where you then face 2 closed wooden doors--I recall thinking that this was a bit strange and uninviting--sort of a 'private ,keep out' kind of message
