Easter in D.R.

Anyone who has spent Easter at the Melia in the past? if so, how did you find the resort? I am assuming it was running full capacity, question is how well was it running? were they still able to provide acceptable service? enough loungers/shade available during this high peak season? any tips/advice to make it a smooth week during such busy times in paradise?

Any input is greatly appreciated!

Happy Travels!

Haven't specifically been to Melia, but we have traveled to PC at Easter. Absolutely nothing changed at all in the life of the resort. Yes, resorts are busy at that time of year. Have a great trip!

Agreed. We were at Paradisus PC (a Melia property) last year and there was no way you would notice any difference in the service.

We have been to PC at Easter twice, not staying at the Melia but our experiences have been that resorts are very busy at that time, but resorts are aware of their capacity and are fully staffed. We have not noticed service problems, but everything is busy, including pools, bars and restaurants.

As long as they are prepared for that I'm sure it will not cause any issues. In your experiences did they do anything for the kids at Easter time? egg hunting?!

Thanks so much for your input!

Cheers!!

I understand that on Easter Sunday, the families of the employees of the resorts are allowed to use the resorts beach.

In the past they did not operator any water sports ie banana boat . Also if u go off the resort the traffic is much worse as so many are off work... It is the week leading up to Easter .
