Barcelo Bavaro Beach or Punta Cana Princess

I stayed at the BBB this year and loved it and was hoping to go back again next. But the prices have seemed to sky rocket. I loved that it was a quiet, clean, small resort with the bigger sister propertyto visit and also the best thing was that there was absolutely no chair games at the beach which was quite spread out ,not crammed together.

So that being said, how does the PCP compare in these things ?

PCP has the towel game that starts around 7:30 though the signs say they aren't allowed to do so. With that being said, there are still lots of places around the pool and the beach bed section, just not the front row.

The beach is not bad in size, busy section however with boat traffic and walkers. Good news, the beach is fairly deep so the walkers won't be stepping over you to get by.

The resort is in a great location to Plaza Bavaro, the Tower casino, Steve's corner bar, Fruisa shopping area, and el Cortecio village.

Ultra small and quiet is the main feature of this resort along with the adult only aspect.

The sister property, Tropical and caribe club princess is just a hop skip and jump away, has nightlife, is more active, and opens up many more restaurant and grill options. You would have access to all of its activities and features.

It is a great choice, for a good bang for the buck.

We have been to the PCP 3 times and I totally agree with dropusaline. Great choice for the money. Quiet, small, but always something going on. We usually head down to the beach beds about 9am and have never had a problem getting one. The pool clears out in the afternoon and there are usually plenty of chairs around. Beautiful section of beach.

the PCP is a lil Gem, very great money value at PCP, nhice prepared Beach, good services, would return in a heartbeat.

but you can not comare the fantastic Beach of thye Barcelo Beach with the Cortecito Beach at PCP, here are several levels of difference.

PCP/Cortecito is not as calm as Bavaro Beach year around is, the Barcelo Beach is many times wider and longer than the Cortecito Beach at PCP.

if the Beach without chair games is your thing, then the PCP Beach will disappoint in comparison to your prior experience at the Barcelo Bavaro Beach.

have fun

My husband and I had this same dilemma last year. We stayed at PCP two times and loved it but wanted to try something new and chose BBB adults only. Initially we regretted our decision as BBB had a much more "corporate" feel. We had an issue with our room which they quickly resolved but the resort grew on us. The food hands down is much better and there seems to be more dining choices to offer. We too noticed the prices have increased this year but are going back to BBB in July!
