Any reason to go from the Excellence to Bavaro Beach?

In the "things to do in punta cana" section on here, Bavaro Beach is listed as the #3 attraction. Is there any reason for us to take the venture from our resort, The Excellence, to see/spend time at Bavaro Beach? Is it that much better then where we will be at? Worth the time and cost to go there? (not sure how far away it is) - - keep in mind, we aren't seasoned travelers. This will be our first trip out of the US. Thanks :)

No reason that I can think of. I've been on Bavaro Beach more times than I've been on Uvero Alto Beach. Both are nice beaches. I prefer the beach at Excellence simply because it's less crowded, with no traffic. I wouldn't travel from one to another just for a different beach experience.

Thanks, I had the same question! We are newbies to PCE in January.
