Hello, I will write a full dissertation once my trip is done and will also post in the forum about traveling to this hotel with toddlers (for the search option) to help others doing research on this hotel. So far a go back and forth between 4, 4.5 starts. The entry is beautiful, very four season Punta Mita or Ritz Maui but that is as far as you can take that analogy. Their service is spotty, inconsistent in so many levels. No one greets you when you first enter the lobby, no cold drink, no juice for kids. Very different from their sister hotel in Mexico, or for that matter 3.5 start AI in DR. Their concierge desk is a hot mess and the girls there look like deer in headlights. The front desk attendants chat with themselves while clients wait. Supervisors approach them and they continue to chat away. No drink service at the beach. Not in regular side or in reserve side. Not at the pool. We saw 1 bartender in the reserve, 1 at the FC pool and 1 at the main pool. The restaurants are actually good. The servers are wonderful and very engaged. This may be where they are winning points. The beef and meets in the DR is subpar and here we have found some edible beef. Edible, not spectacular. Yesterday's burger was delicious, today I couldn't even touch it. Again is such a missed bag. When I mentioned to our concierge that our Internet in the room was not working and both my husband and I needed to get some work done, he sent over a team of technicians to get our wifi situation fixed. meanwhile I have asked everyone for a spa price list and is like I'm asking for Shakespeare's first copy of hamlet. No one seems to have or seen one. I would like to know how much things are before I book a few treatments. It shouldn't be that hard. Again very missed bag.
