yes bomberro,

meeting vienemo makes for a good time and may also take a bit more time as originally sheduled, haha.

from the Ocean Blue, yes, it is walkable, i would estimate 20-25 minutes(not that i would walk myself anything that takes more than 5mins to walk). you leave the maingate at the Ocean Blue and go straight on along that street across the entrance. after a few hundred meters it makes a left turn, just follow that turning street, straight on til you reac the Plazas, with the Tower Casino on the left side, shops on the right, keep walking along the street til it makes a right hand corner, Steve's is on the streetfront right there in that corner, on the right side.

Thanks for info. Mike, We would never walk by road. I should of said by beach. This is our 12 trip to the DR and we have never been to Steve's. So think we will get a taxi and try to make it this year!

For Whala, use this map puntacanatv.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/P…

You have Bamboo, Soles, Hurican, all expensive or the little place called Verican just before the Jellyfish (not marked on the map) is very inexpensive ... you can also walk in behind there are places like Danny's Bar that is also close to Whala.

debs, this map shows the Royalton - used to be Grand Paradise Bavaro - look two resorts under the Hard Rock.

Hope that helps :)

Actually as much as I like T-Treasures in Uvero, it is really just a gift shop. Just up the beach a bit more a new bar has opened call SANDY FEET Beach Bar, owned by the same person. A much better venue to enjoy a cold one than at T-Treasures.

Cheers
