EPC - room or club upgrade

We are going to EPC in August. We are thinking of upgrading to either club level or just the room to, say, a roof top terrace. First off can anyone please tell me the cost of these two options and whether its best to do this prior to going or when checking in? We have previously stayed at club level in Excellence Playa Mujures and thought this was well worth the extra cost mainly because of the club pool and bar but understand this is not available at EPC hence the question of whether it would be advisable to spend our money on an upgraded room instead? Thanks.

The Rooftop Terrace Suites are all Club. At that time of year, it's probably about $500 per night more than a Junior Suite. The highest level non-Club is the Excellence Suite Ocean View. You might want to consider a Master Suite. These are by the cascade pool, which is quiet, and has its own bar. Ground floor Master Suites have a large sitting area by the pool, with a day bed. They're larger than Junior Suites, and have a separate living area. They just finished renovating these in November. Also, you can walk out the entrance and down a path a short distance to the sports bar. These are maybe $50 per night more.
