Grand Palladium questions

A large group of us (30 - two families) will be at the Palladium the last week of July. This will be our first time in Punta Cana.

Is this time of year considered peak season?

We understand that some restaurants will not allow shorts for dinner. What about sandals, sneakers, flip-flops?

Is there a reliable website to look at/book excursions before we leave?

Is it advisable to rent a car while there?

What types of activites are included/available at the resort - snorkeling, sailing, jet skis?

Are the pools open 24 hours?

When is the best time to tip the staff at the resort? As service is rendered or at the end of the stay?

We will have 5 children with us. Is there medical staff available at the resort in case of injury or illness?

Thank you for the responses.

The end of July is not peak season

the a la carts have a dress code, long pants for men, beach shoes are not allowed, smart sandals are ( in my experience) and any closed shoe is fine. in the buffets shorts are fine.

most will say not to rent a car, we would not

the pools close around 7 pm ( this is at most resorts in PC as well)

we tip when service is given , if you wait till the end of your trip your intended employee could be on their days off ( most work 11 days and then have 3 days off)

yes there are doctors at the resort

activities: wind surfing, catamaran, kayaks, sports centre, no jet skis ( no jet skis allowed in Punta Cana)

what section are you staying in?

Thanks for the information.

Not sure what section yet.

We are going through a travel agent and have not received this information yet. I'll try to find out.

Here's what our travel agent told us.

You are staying at the Grand Palladium Palace Resort Spa & Casino.

Your room type is Deluxe and the location will be assigned at check in based on room availability. You will have exchange access to the other two Palladium Resorts and you can use their facilities and restaurants.
