Gran Bahia Principe - Difference Between Bavaro, Ambar, etc.

My gf and I was looking into this complex but don't know what section to go with, we are of age 23 and 25.

Interests to consider:

cleanliness, like not out of date

relaxing but also lively

music by the pool

pool games, just a little more lively?

dancing with a dj at night

decent food

We are booking a 5 night stay do we get to eat at any of the restaurants for free or its extra cost?

If you guys have any other recommendations that would fit our interests a bit more then this resort, please feel free to let me know!

Thanks,

Nick

To answer some of your other questions.

Bavaro/PCana sections main pool is the most lively during the day by the swim up bar with many activities, sometimes drinking games, even possible chance of a bikini contest.. If you were in the luxury Ambar section don't worry cause in Ambar you have access to pretty much the entire complex. So if nothing is really happening at the Ambar pool your more then welcome to go over to the Bavaro/Pcana pools.. It's like you have the best of both worlds :) relax when you want, lively when you want.

The night life is not actually in any section... it has it's own section called Pueblo Principe away from the resort rooms so people can sleep peacefully.

In the Pueblo Principe there is shopping, casino, outdoor terrace with a houseband playing some nights other nights is games also drink service, there is a sports/karaoke bar and the disco... the disco is bigger then most "on" resort discos that don't allow the public in and drinks are included (unlike some resorts where you have to pay)

Here is a youtube of the disco (fast forward to around 45 seconds as beginning is just talking)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V12PGuq2Dmk

Disco is open to 2am then afterwards there is a late night snack bar open to 6am that serves beer... depending on the crowd that goes there once the disco closes that can also get pretty lively.

Also for lobby bars Bavaro/Pcana tend to be more lively but again if your in the Ambar section you have access to all the lobby bars.

Take note when your not in Ambar or Esmeralda section top shelf liquor is not included

IPandaBearl,

The newest of all the Bahia resorts is the Luxury Bahia Esmeralda and subsequently their rooms overall would be the newest.

The link provided above by poster "Bigjim93" would provide you more details to answer your questions.

The resort is impeccably maintained and very clean in my opinion - constantly being updated and as a result, the rooms in the Bahia Bavaro and Punta Cana resorts are being updated - the majority of which have now been completed with new furniture, 4 poster canopy beds are being installed, new flat screen plasma televisions, new style sinks in all washrooms and rain style shower heads.

Hope this does help.
