Hi..we are going to dom rep on 6th sept staying at riu palace Bavaro.

Just wondering which is the best currency to take..dollars or pesos

You can happily use either ....if u plan on staying on resort then dollars will be fine how ever if you plan to spend time off resort shopping/ eating/ drinking etc then I wouod say pesos would be best but thats just my personal preference :)

US dollars or Dominican Peso. Whichever one you can get the best exchange on I would say.

If you bring USD and think you might want to tip try to get some small bills $1 & $5 to bring.
