Flights from US help!!!!

We would have to fly into San Juan with a 50 minute lay-over. Do you think this is enough time to make our connection to PTP? I assume we would do customs in Guadeloupe and not San Juan???

Any help would be appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any thoughts on Hotel Le Diwali?

Yes that should be OK. The San Juan airport is not too big and they might hold the flight for you. When we flew yesterday between SJ and PTP there were only 10 passengers on the plane. No customs in San Juan since it is still the US. Customs in PTP is very quick and easy.

The Hotel Diwali is beautiful, however we made a reservation there via Expedia which the hotel did not honor. They said they had not worked with Expedia for 6 months, however, Expedia did send an updated confirmation right before we left so I don't know what happened. At any rate the clerk was helpful and called the Rotabas hotel for us which was right on Caravelle beach and much cheaper. Not too fancy and we were pratically the only people there but it was just fine for us.

you are usually fine on the way, it's the way back through SJU which could be a problem since the flight is almost always late. It leaves San Juan late, since as the previous poster said, they hold flights there so as a result the departure from Pointe-a-Pitre (same plane leaving in the afternoon) gets delayed.

I don't know the Diwali hotel, sorry.
