It's an amazing wedding destination, but it really depends what is important to you, how many guests you have, kids involved, etc... I do know that I am still blown away by my photos and memories and that I wouldn't have changed a thing... If you lay out specifics of what you are looking for, others may be able to advise as well. I know it's a tough decision!!!

I think there will be 10 guests including 2 children. Is it best to get package deals or book separately?

If you search "wedding" within the Jamaica forums, you will find a wealth of information. As for booking separate or looking for a package, again, it all depends on your circumstances, budget, time frame, etc.

Only suggestion I can make based on my own experiences: If all adults are couples, you may consider Sandals Negril- Beaches Negril is practically next door for the family with children, and with permission- you work with a wedding coordinator, the children can attend the wedding/reception at Sandals Negril. Non- couple adults can sometimes also receive permission to stay at Sandals based on wedding attendance, but all rooms only have king size beds.

A basic wedding package is free with your reservation (of a certain amount of nights I believe) and then you can add on to the basic package to meet the needs of your wishes/guests. If you are at all interested in Sandals, their website has a great deal of information on weddings.

The options really are endless, so you may be able to narrow down by reading through other forums on the topic. The more specific you can be with your own questions in forums, the better, so I'd do some research and then reach out with your specific questions and contemplations.

You may also want to look for a travel agent who specializes in destination weddings to help guide you as well. Good luck as you begin your search and congratulations!

We got married on June 4 at the Iberostar Rose Hall Beach and it was amazing. I would not hesitate to plan a destination wedding in Jamaica!

They don't have a free wedding package. We hired our own florist and photographer. They did a great job. Everything was amazing and the resort was great.

We got married in negril August just gone. We wanted a wedding that was personnel to us. We went with a wedding coordinator called isabelle stewert. She has many packages that will suit your budget... We got married on a secluded beach (half moon) where there was privacy and intimacy... Drop her an email... We came from the uk. Hope this helps...
