Upset with sandals website and 800 phone center

Might as well have a disclaimer that says we can tell you one thing but do whatever we want when we want and you have to take it...

The person on the phone ended the convo well with better explaining the situation. But the point remains they might as well say we can tell you one thing and do another...

Webpage says one thing then in small print says we can change at any moments notice and to call us. Well hell nice little marketing gimmick cause that says you can post anything you want but not actually follow through with it lol...

" I have never had a problem with them."

Seriously , I have heard of multiple problems with the Sandals 1-800 number, and there have been multiple conversations about them on this forum.

Reputation for lying, and not knowing what is actually happening at their resorts ( since it is not based in Jamaica ).

I know others have expressed problems --- but really, I have never had a problem and some of the ones I talked to are located right in their offices in Montego Bay and have been to the resorts.

Sadly the 800-operators are frequently clueless about what is actually going on at the resorts. They are based in Miami. I know of someone who was told she couldn't have rum cream in Jamaica and that it would be Bailey's instead. Seriously? No rum cream IN Jamaica? Yup, clueless!

Sorry that you have run into this. Would you be willing to share a little bit more what this is all about? If not, that's fine. Just curious (obviously) and thinking that perhaps the info could help some of us for the future.....

I am pretty sure the one I had a problem with ( but several years ago), was located in Miami, so maybe things have changed.

I agree with Winnekini - if you are posting to help other TA members it would help to know what happened.

They have offices in several places --- I always ask at the end where they are and lately it has always been Montego Bay.

Actually, the Miami call center has been closed for close to 2 years now. There is a Unique Vacations corporate office in Miami which houses different departments, but there is no longer a call center located there. In addition to the Montego Bay, Jamaica call center there is the Castries, St. Lucia call center which took the place of the Miami call center. So when you are calling the 800 SANDALS OR 800 BEACHES reservations number you will reach the call center in Jamaica or St. Lucia.

I thought you had decided to transfer your reservation to a Sandals Certified Specialist who could answer your questions and handle all aspects of your booking. If you did so you would always have the same point of contact (person) giving you updated current information. Did you not transfer your reservation? Just curious.
