Best view from plane?

We arrive in Jamaica 11 weeks today and can book our plane seats from tomorrow. My question is will the view be best coming in if we sit on the right or left. We are flying with Thomson from the Uk.

Last time we went out to sea and came back in over secrets then sandals Carlyle so sitting on the right was good.

What are people's thoughts?

Thanks

1. Re: Best view from plane?

The usual approach is with the Jamaican coastline to the south of the plane as it approaches Sangster International airport. So right side is for viewing the coastline/countryside.

Thanks for the reply, which side would give the best view on the way out?

Departure path is usually to the east. So again the coastline is out the right side of the airplane on that departure path.

If viewing out the window in the vicinity of Sangster, then, indeed, the right side of the plane (starboard) is where to sit.

Now, I like looking at the sea and the reefs as we get closer to Jamaica, so I sit on the port side.
