Jamaica Exit Tax

Can anyone advise me on what the weather is like in Montego Bay during July & August please. We fly out for 2 weeks on 24.7.14. Will it rain everyday? Is it hot and humid? I really need an idea of what to expect. Thanks

Hot and humid and chance of the occasional shower. Btw. No departure tax in Jamaica, it should be included in your ticketprice.

"Will it rain everyday?"

It is possible but probably not every day. Remember that August is rainy season in Jamaica. If it rains it may last from 15 min. to all day. If it rains it is most probable from about tea time to dinner time. Also, Aug. is part of hurricane season on the island (possible but not probable).

"Is it hot and humid?"

Yes.

As to the departure tax, see the following

How are you flying to Jamaica, on a scheduled flight (Virgin?, BA?, etc.) or on a charter (Thomson?, Thomas Cook?, etc.)? This may determine if the taxes have been paid in advance or not.

I am flying via Thomson. I'm sure I see somewhere in the booking receipt that we are expected to pay a exit tax on departure.

thank you everyone for the replies.
