What a screwy sale...

Starfish: "We are having a big sale right now!"

Consumer: "Oh, really? How much?"

Starfish: "I can't tell you. Would you like to book it?"

(I think you have a bum travel agent. After all, it is his/her job to do exactly what he/she said that he/she can't do.)

I called her back to press for more answers; they book through another agent and she was not given the info. (AAA travel)

She says that she believes that it is a deal where you get 5th night free....

In any case, the price is within our projected cost so I will go back to her; we have travelled using her before and were very happy.

I do have several more in the fire so to speak so I will make decision..final answer tomorrow.

When are you thinking of going???? I would assume they will have a good deal for the fall. Is there anything on their website about this?

Thanks C,

Steve is "one of the others" that I am checking with! I also emailed another travel agent friend who comes up with the same costs as the "sale" price I was quoted.

Craz, I called AAA where we usually book and our agent calls into a data base system in NJ I believe. There was no sale posted on any site I have visited. The agent feels that this is a buy 4 nights get 5th free deal. If Steve says go then I will grab this as the whole package for air, 8 nights in Negril, 5 nights at Starfish is about $4700...A/I. I wonder if I can just book through him? I am awaiting his email back. I didn't want to miss out on SATP booking.

Is that $4700.00 for 2 people.....I hope so :)

And yeah you can book through him, he's an agent just like any other agent although you might get yoru air cheaper booking here in the US of A.

That souds like a very good deal with air for 2 people, imo.

:)

I'm confused. Or maybe I am not reading this right...

How is $4700 for 13 nights including air from FLORIDA a good deal?

I see incredible flight deals out of Florida to MBJ all of the time.

Heck I just spent 15 nights at Starfish with rt air from Baltimore for 2 adults and 1 kid for a total of $2955.

(Thats $125 per room @15 nights and 3 rt tickets from BWI @$360.)

The $4700 includes 8 nights at Sunset at the Palms in Negril and 5 nights at Starfish.

But it still sounds high to me, too.
