We are booked to stay at secrets st james in June.. Got a great price by the way thru expedia 6nights w/ air for 800pp! Just have a question about excursions..Is it better to book before we leave or can we find better deals once we get to jamaica??

There is no reason to book excursions before you leave. If the excursion is off site, its also less expensive just to walk outside the grounds of your resort, get a cab, and go directly to your destination. Booking an excursion at your resort is convenient and reassuring to people, but it can limit your choices. For instance, the resort will probably offer one horseback riding trip while there are really numerous choices. If you do your research you can pick the one that is right for you. Your resort will offer a trip to Dunn's River Falls. If you get a cab instead, they will take you to the Falls and you can add in Shaw Park Gardens and visit Doctor's Cave Beach too. Sometimes it pays to do research ahead of time but if you aren't comfortable making your own arrangements, booking at your resort when you are there will be fine.

I personally recommend contacting Reggae-tours for your excursions. They come highly recommended.
