Matt, I think you may have misread that. Saw several articles where changes in

Summer schedules are happening, but it appears Falmouth is still a primary destination for RC.

My take on the article is that one specific ship will not be docking there because the port won't be ready in time when it has it's maiden voyage. This does not mean that other ships won't dock in Falmouth when it is ready.

The OP's post is misleading and incorrect.

I went to put in the body of the post the Oasis of Seas. Which is the new Mega liner that would have 5500pax per sail. I thought is was to start docking in May now looks like Dec. It is a huge blow esp in the "off season"

Didnt mean RC as a whole. Sorry for the confusion.

Unless I am missing something...the ship can't dock there if the port isn't finished, right?

It wasn't anywhere near fishished three weeks ago. The dredger boats were still in the harbor!

The new port is now scheduled to open in December 2010.

That's what I thought.

So what is the probem?

The new ship sails in May and the Falmouth port opens in December?

Seems only natural to go somewhere else until December.
