Sandals MoBay Coffee Options?

2 more sleeps and we are on our way... question for the morning coffee, do they have a coffee bar somewhere? where we can get coffee to bring back to he rooms?

Although we love this resort, that is our only drawback is that they do not have room service other than for the suites....

Thanks

In Jamaica you want to bring home Blue Mountain Coffee (not 'high' mountain). There are several options where to buy it. First try the gift shop at your hotel (its easy to buy but probably high priced).

Second, a much lower priced option is at a supermarket. Ask your maid at your hotel how to get to the Hi-Lo or SuperPlus.

You can also wait until you depart. There are a number of shops at the airport (in the departure area after security) who stock and sell coffee.

When we were there (some time ago) they had a funky dispenser in the lobby. But they also had one of those “four cup” brewers in the rooms. While the “room coffee” was better than you usually get at a hotel, they only gave you one packet a day. As a coffee addict, that’s just not enough for me. We brought some fresh ground Sumatra and small filters and just made our own. The next trip we just bought some Blue Mountain at the gift shop but still brought the filters.

Morning coffee is a must for us as well and we are staying there over Christmas. Does anyone know if they still have the little coffee pots in the rooms (per seavale)? If so, what kind of filters do we bring - cone or the round ones. Thanks for asking such an important question greauchene! :-)

Sure they still have the coffe pots, but I would go down to the supermarket to get the coffe, ut's half the price at the supermarket then in the gift shop.

The flat paper filters – four cup size – worked well. Cones can be used if you already have some, but they don’t sit well in the brewer.
