Sandals Montego Bay

Have booked an 8 night stay in November. Was wondering if it is worth taking a Dining reservation at any of the other Sandals in Montego Bay?

What about the entertainment...Is it different at all 3 resorts or is the entertainment moved around between them?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We have done the many excursions out of Ochio Rios so excursions are not our big thing anymore. Just relaxation and local entertainment.

Would definitely try the restaurants at the other two Sandals. We always do so while staying at SRC. We love the Carlyle Restaurant at SCI and Cucina Romana at SMB. Would recommend you try LeJardinier at SRC and possibly the Royal Thai on the offshore island at SRC.

Some of the entertainment might be the same, some is different. When dining at SMB, we usually also stay for whatever entertainment is taking place in the amphitheatre that evening, otherwise we pretty much watch the entertainment at our home resort (SRC) in the evenings.

DeerLakeTraveler: The dining themes of the various restaurants among the three properties are different so your decision may be dictated by the theme for the evening...for example, my wife loves the rack of lamb served at La Jardinere, so a visit to SRC would be in order if you were of like mind. We always stay at SRC, but visit SMB for Stewfish (terrific seafood on the beach) and/or La Cucina (Italian) because neither is available at SRC.

I was reviewing the menu for the Oleander Room.. I am a steak lover, and not a coffee lover (do not even like the smell of it).. anyone out there try the Jamaican Coffee Rubbed New York Sirloin? how strong is the coffee taste if at all?

If you don't like coffee - just tell the waiter and he can bring you the steak without the rub, not a problem at all!

you will want to get reservations for dinner as soon as you arrive...if not you might not be able to get to all the restaurants...the French and Italian are wonderful...they really advertise the Thai restaurant it was good food but the setting is the highlight .... the entertainment is different at each place....we stayed at Royal most all evenings...but if you are into partying you probably like the Montego...seemed a little louder over there...the busing between places is great...so if you don't like something get on the bus and head to next place....if you have never been I strongly suggest you take the trip to Negril...with Dalton....he is a great tour guide....and Rick's café has the best jerk chicken that we have ate yet!!! and the sunset is amazing!!!

we went to Sandal's Grande Rivera in January of this year it too is amazing...enjoy !!!!

During our honeymoon at SRC, we took full advantage of the stay at one, play at three and enjoyed a different dining experience each night of our trip. We also never experienced repeat any repeat entertainment. Yes the both the beach party at SMB and SRC had similar entertainment, HOWEVER each one very vastly different with different performers, routines and music. They also played very different couples games at each one. So we were happy we got to experience both. My tip is when you arrive, as for a weekly schedule of all the entertainment for both your resort and the other two sandals. Take some time to chill at the beach or over lunch and look over your options for the week and that may make it easier to decide what you wish to do or not to do. which days you want to just relax and which days you want to participate in some resort fun.

Staying at one resort and being able to visit all three resorts is a wonderful perk of staying at a Sandals resort. We stay at Sandals Montego Bay at least once a year and, obviously, love it. You've received some great advice, so the only thing I would add is to be sure and enjoy the jerk chicken or pork at the beach grill. The cheeseburgers are also very good. You should also try breakfast at Cucina Romana at least once. When we were there in April we had planned to go to SRC for dinner, but never made it. We had so many wonderful options at SMB. Enjoy your stay. I'll be looking forward to reading your review when you return.
