We're having a crisis of faith, and need some suggestions for a good all-inclusive, adult only resort. We have been avid Sandals fans, specifically Sandals Montego Bay, but after our seventh stay proved to be less enjoyable than previous stays, we are thinking of going to a different resort next year.
Sandals has always been more expensive than other resort chains, but we felt the level of service justified the expense. We did not receive that level of service during our April stay. The butler service was poor to mediocre, and we did not feel the same willingness to help from the majority of the staff. The exceptions to that was the service provided by bartenders Gary, Clayton, and Andrew, plus the housekeeping staff member, Pauline. Mykal and Nasha, our former butlers, were also attentive even though they were not assigned to us. Should we have complained...probably.
We have made our reservation for April, 2015, but we're not sure we want to go back. Sandals has changed the policy on the amount of points that can be used for a single stay, so the cost will be higher next year. The cost for next year will be around $7000 (including airfare) for eight days, and we think we may be able to get a bigger bang for our buck elsewhere.
