Club MoBay Arrival Service - Well Worth It

Hi there, as a follow up to my Airport Chaos post, I wanted to provide feedback about my Club MoBay Arrival Service experience. Two things to note; we flew in from Toronto via Air Canada landing @ 1:40PM and we had transportation to the resort included in our package. Thanks to other posters, I checked on other arrivals (http://www.mbjairport.com/arrivals) and it showed me that within the hour of our arrival time, there were 8 other planes coming in as well.

The MoBay rep met us as soon as we got off the plane, then escorted us by the LENGTHY line (around the corner!!) to a designated customs agent. By the time we were processed, our bags had been offloaded and we were taken to the Club MoBay arrival lounge. Our rep told Air Canada Vacations that we were taking a private transfer to the hotel then went outside to find our driver. We were at our resort within 45 minutes of wheels touching down. I would HIGHLY recommend this service. We typically fly Sunwing which lands @ 9:30AM, as there are no other planes around that time, this service would not be worth it (for us) but if we were to fly and land mid-day again, as soon as I booked our vacation I would book this service. Cost was $50 per person. It’s worth it to note that if we had not arranged a private transfer ($35 USD) we would have had to wait for all the other passengers to make it through customs that were boarding the bus to the resort.

Thank you for this post. I was looking to get the arrival service when I go in a couple of weeks. I checked flight stats and saw a lot of flights around my landing time. Similar to yours, mine will be just after 1pm. Did you tip the Club MoBay rep? May I ask how much so I can have an idea of what to give?

Thank you. This post assures me I did the right thing booking this service. We will also be landing right around the same time of day. It looks like with about 7 other flights... I think this will be money well spent.

We opted to purchase CMB arrival service for our Saturday 21June afternoon arrival and thank goodness we did! Best $100 spent for us! Line up at Immigration was at least an hour which we endured on several previous trips but nothing like the 2 hours we experienced a couple years ago when we could not even get up the escalator leading to the Immigration Hall. When we arrive in the morning, it is not worth it as there is no/little line up. We don't really need the lounge for its beverages/snacks/bathroom as we usually are heading to a Couples or Sandals resorts and they have this, but this time we opted to check in with the hotel lounge and let them know we would be at the CMB lounge until our shuttle departed. We were about 20 minutes from disembarkation, through Immigration, luggage retrieval, through customs, into the lounge area to grab a quick bevvy/snack, out to our shuttle in about 20 minutes - what a great way to start our JM vacation #28!

Recommend? Agreed, YES

And yes, they escort you thru both immigration and customs using designated areas. When we used them in April, we breezed thru using the flight crew line. From immigration to arriving at the Club MoBay lounge took us 15 minutes!

We are using them tomorrow for the 3rd time. Well worth it, especially on a busy weekend. Gets to us CSA that much faster!

We fly in on a Monday between 2-3pm. There are a lot of flights arriving at the same hour but are they really that crowded on a Monday in August?

If there are a lot of flights arriving at the same time --- and all the flights are full --- it could be crowded. The beginning of August they also celebrate their independence that a lot of people go for. I will use it every time I land in the afternoon --- it's a gamble, but it gives me peace of mind.

How do you find out the number of flights arriving at the same times as yours?
