Food Costs

We are going to rent a condo in MB across from Doctors Cove Beach and plan to have breakfast in and some lunches and dinners in and some out in casual restaurants. How are grocery food costs compared to the US groceries and casual restaurant costs. We are not on a tight budget but do want to watch our budget, even though we are on holiday.

Thanks the vinnie, that was very helpful. We are trying to decide between a condo in MB vs one in Freeport Bahamas and comparing costs. We do not want to mess worth a car. The beaches seem comparable. Do you know if the condo units across from Doctors Cove beach usually provide beach chairs or if we need to rent them every day and if so what the rent costs? Thanks

I found it interesting, but not too surprised, that the Pier One menu was priced in what appears to be US dollars.

it seems most popular/touristy places put the price in US dollars.

Not sure why, but seems thats just the way it is now.... kinda annoying though as i only ever have JA dollars, as i find it easier when im out on the street buying food catching taxi's etc.

You can walk and find a nice breakfast! The Pelican is good and the Wexford has a buffet. For lunch you can get food at the beach or go to the Pork Pit for some jerk chicken or pork, festival and corn! (other items)

There are a few markets in Mobay and Mega Mart will have everything you need to stock your condo!

PEACE!
