Tropical storm?

So maybe I'm being alot paranoid, but neither my husband or I have ever flown.

Now that i've said my disclaimer: Regarding that tropical storm "Noel" and flying how does that exactly work? It seems that the storm is moving West, which won't directly affect where we are staying (SDR) but in terms of flying "through it"? We are flying Nov 7th, again I don't know alot about tropical storms, how long they typically last, affect that they have on travel or any of that.

I'm not really sure of my question but if anyone has any advice or nerve camling thoughts that would be very helpful. It's just more nervewracking since I've never flown and was already nervous about it: in the first place:)

Thanks!

Yeah. It should be nowhere near Ocho by the 7th. Dunns River is an amazing resort. Have a great trip.
