Seat belts in taxis?

Hi everyone,

We'll be in Negril with our 3 kids (including one a carseat) and are wondering how we can get around by taxi, since there are five of us. Also, I'm worried about finding taxis with seat belts. Any thoughts on this?

Thanks,

Temple,

Many of the "taxis" are actually vans, so fitting all of you won't be a problem. You will probably be able to find a driver with a newer van and then just get his number and call him whenever you need to go somewhere....

Crystal Waters will be able to set you up with a taxi/van that you can use your whole trip. Maybe even leave the car seat in the van if you're comfortable with your driver

I was in Ja last week, the news broadcast I watched said that all cars needed seatbelts fitted within next couple of weeks. All taxis and private cars I took had belts fitted.

Hope that helps
