Sunset at the Palms ???? Help Please ????

From what I can tell this resort is not on the Sea, is that correct?

If so is it a hassle? Do they have private beach? Do they have services on the beach?

Thanks for your help.

Yes the resort is across the street from the beach. Yes it is their beach property. It has a food grill & a bar. No, it is not a hassle but at 6 or 7 pm {forgot} it is closed & you can not access it. It's not really anything to be missed after dark other than a late night beach walk or sitting watching the moon reflect off the sea ect...

Is there a lot going on back at the resort, or do you need to leave to have a fun time at night. We are early 40's dont want crazy. Just music and fun people to meet and talk to.

Should I look at a different resort?

For the most part it is very laid back & quiet. The rooms are very nice.

What exactly are you looking for on your vacation ?

I have stayed at numerous resorts in Negril. Each is nice in their own way. So it really depends on what your looking for

Well like any resort, it all depends on the guest at the time. When we were there we left allot, but we like to roam. Also Bloody bay which this is located in, there is nothing within walking distance at night. So a short cab ride is necessary. Not sure if you've ever been to the area so I thought I would toss that out as well

We stayed at Sunset at the Palms last February. It is gorgeous! Like the other poster said, the beach is across the street. There is a crossing guard and the walk is not big deal. The beach has a bar, grill, restrooms... you can plant yourself and not have to walk back to the room all day. It is on Bloody Bay though, which, while beautiful, it is quieter than the Long Bay section and it's also sandwiched between other all-inclusive resorts. The resort is very romantic and the service and food are great.

While we loved our stay, I don't think we'd go back to SATP, because it was a bit TOO quiet for us. We like the Long Bay section of beach a little better, but just because it has more of what we like (people-watching, beach bars, restaurants).

As already said the beach is across the road but takes only two minutes to get there..

They have a bar and a beach grill (great food there ) and the water sports..

Night life is ok ..nothing to get excited about and it usually finishes by about 10pm although the bar is open till late..

When we were there we met a great crowd so spent the evenings socialising with everybody..

We (Dave & Lisa) are staying at the 'palms

next week (1/20-1/23), both in our early 40's.

I stayed there 10 years ago when it was called Negril

Cabins; grounds are fairytale, with lush greenery and

wonderful rooms. If you have a balcony, order room service (lobster? Maybe

breakfast?) and they'll set it up on balcony!

Little nightlife at the hotel, except maybe the bar.

Cab ride to Ricks, etc. Not a bad idea, restaurants for dinner are

open later. Remember to pick up snacks/drinks for your

room during daytime.
