We have been going to the WH since it opened in 2003 and have never seen or even heard of it. In any case, we were just there in January of this year and no problem.

I was at the martini bar thats is upstairs in the outside area of CSA and they had a bat flying around and then just sit in back of the bar while you were drinking.

I've not seen a tree covered with bats in either of our 2 visits to Whitehouse. But anywhere there's trees and anywhere there's mosquitoes, it wouldn't be unusual to see bats hanging around. We live in a wooded area and see bats flying around frequently--for which we're glad because they dine on mosquitos!

SWH, the resort in the orignal post, has a Martini Bar upstairs as well and the reference to Couples threw me off.
