Negril question...

We stayed at Idle Awhile in December and loved it. It was our first time to Negril. The only problem we had was a few night of loud nightclub music late into the night, especially Thursday night. We are trying to find 3 or 4 nights in a row without late loud music. Is this possible on that section of the beach. Thanks for any info.

There are several night clubs scattered along the beach as well as the Jungle night club on the road near Idle Awhile which has ladies night on Thursday. It's pretty hard to escape the music on the beach regardless of where you stay unless you are out on Bloody Bay at an AI resort. The music is part of the draw for many.

Maybe if you stay further up the beach - Country Country, Negril Treehouse, Seawind, or Seasplash it will be quieter (assuming the noise is from the Jungle). We have stayed at Country Country 2x (but not since 2009) and had no issues with noise, even though Margaritaville is fairly close.

Coco La Palm is always pretty quiet at night.

Rooms on Te Beach was a decent distance from Alfred's and Roots Bamboo. It was not quiet, you could still hear the riddims, but neither was it disturbing to us.

Or stay up the road on the cliffs----my fave is seagrapevillas.com---every now and then you hear some dogs at night but most of the music stops at 9 unless its a big show.

We have stayed at Sunquest Cottages, now called Wild Parrot and NEVER had issues with the late night loud music. Wild Parrot is located between Coco La Palm and Marguaritaville. Great central location for a good price.

Wonder where the music was coming from? W have started at idle ten plus times and I never remember loud music. Honestly anywhere on the beach you hear anything loud. I most hear cars racing down the road late at night.
