Day Trip to Negril (Already seen 7 mile beach and Ricks)

Hello,

I am heading back to Jamaica for my 6th trip. I'm staying in Montego Bay this time.

I'm planning a day trip to Negril, and am looking for some new ideas. We've been to 7 mile beach, which we'll do again, and we've done the Cliff's, Ricks and Xtabi. I'm looking for any possible new suggestions for our day trip to Negril in a few weeks.

Thanks all, Very much appreciated.

You can stop by Blue Hole Mineral Springs, located about 25 minutes outside of Negril.

7 Mile Beach, and the Cliffs would never get old to me, and are the main reasons to go to Negril... so, even though you have been there before, don't take those completely out of your planning!

I've heard LTU is a good spot on the cliffs...

LTU Pub right past Ricks on the Cliffs---you can swim in the bay and have a cold one at the bar when you get out---good food as well.

Maybe explore the cliff area further south - check out the Lighthouse, take a walk and check out other bars and restaurants and swimming spots - LTU, as mentioned is a great spot especially if you are going to be there for sunset and dinner. I don't think Blue Hole is really realistic for a day trip but could be I guess - depends if you want to travel outside of Negril or not. Are you driving yourself or do you have a driver?

Talk with your driver about costs - it might be more if you ask him to drive you to points outside of Negril.

Another thought, and for something very different than Long Bay (aka "7 mile" beach) why not check out Half Moon Beach for part of your day? Its completely hassle free (its privately owned), had a nice bar and restaurant and is kept natural, more so than the very commercial "7 mile" beach or even Bloody Bay. Maybe have lunch there then you and your driver head up the cliffs for a look at the lighthouse and dinner and sunset at LTU?

I'm not sure I would make a day trip all the way out to Negril, if you aren't interested in seeing either the 7-mile beach or the cliffs again. That's pretty much what Negril is all about. suze

Get a day pass for Hedo. Lots of stuff there you have most likely never seen.
