Tips for Guests

hello all!

I am getting married in Negril 4 weeks from tomorrow and have 102 guests joining us, most of whom have never been to Jamaica.

I want to put together a welcome letter that includes helpful information and tips about Negril. Can you guys give me some ideas as to what to include?

Thanks!

Bring bug spray for the sand fleas

Bring more sunscreen than you think you'll need

Bring at least 3 swimsuits for a 7 day trip

but more importantly, bring your chill! :)

Please tell me where you are staying?

When my husband and I were married, the letter that I wrote to our guests was simple, we welcomed them to Jamaica, outlined what the schedule was for the day of the wedding and the events that we had planned, and then we gave them a list of the things that they could do either on the resort or around the resort,

Make sure their passports are current.

Bring small U.S. bills for tips, like $1's and $5's.

Update your international calling feature on cells.

I don't have any tips. I just want to congratulate you on your wedding, and most importantly, on getting 102 people to attend. Wow! I'm flabbergasted. Where will you all be staying?

With 102 guests, I imagine that you will be staying at one of the all-inclusive (AI) resorts on the 7 mile beach. Your guests should be aware that there will be vendors on the beach (particularly in the central part of long beach) that will approach them to try to sell items/services - hats, fruits, food, motor sport activities, ganja, etc. If you are not interested then a simple "no thank you" works the vast majority of the time. Enjoy!

3) Bring a pen to fill out the customs form and have your resort information to put on the customs form

6) Swimming suit

7) Smile you're in Jamaica
