Questions about SATP

We're loking forward to a quiet, non-stressful, relaxing vacation and SATP sounds like it's the place. After dinner we like to grab a bottle of wine and take a walk along the beach.

Is the beach accessible or is it closed at 6pm along with the beach bar?

Also, is there beer and/or rum in the rooms?

Thanks

I have not been to SATP but have long though about going there once they have switched to adults only. That's why I was reading this thread and I have to ask.... How do they go about closing the beach?

I have stayed at other resorts on Bloody Bay (CN, RIU TB, and GLN) and the beach never seems to be 'closed'. I think you can walk on the beach if you want.

Yes, you can walk on the beach if you want, but you'll have to access it from north of SATP property. There is a gate to access SATP property on the beach side of the road. I'm assuming that the gate is locked at nite.

"we like to grab a bottle of wine and take a walk along the beach."

Trees and other obstacles come down to, and in a few spots into, the water near Sunset at the Palms. Also in this area there are not lights at night. I would consider it somewhat dangerous to walk some sections of the beach near the hotel after dark.

Thank you for the replies and I appreciate the warning about the obstacles. Sounds like it would be best to stay on the resort or take a taxi to 7 mile. Thanks again.
